In The name of Allah, The Compassionate, The Merciful.
17.1 - Glory be to Him Who caused His servant to travel at night from the sacred mosque to the distant mosque whose surrounding We have blessed, so that We show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing. 17.2 - And We gave Musa the book and made it a guidance for the sons of Israel (saying): You should not take other than Me as Trustee. 17.3 - The descendants of those whom We carried with Nuh; indeed, he was a grateful servant. 17.4 - And We had decreed for the sons of Israel in the book: You will surely make mischief in the land twice, and you will surely exalt to great height. 17.5 - So when the promise for the first of them came, We sent over you servants of Ours who possessed a great strength, they ravaged through the homes. And the promise of Allah was to be fulfilled. 17.6 - Then We returned to you the turn to prevail over them; and We supplied you with wealth and sons and made you more in manpower. 17.7 - If you do good, you do good for yourselves, and if you do evil, you are for it. So when the last promise came to sadden your faces and to the mosque as they entered it the first time, and to destroy what they gained with (total) destruction. 17.8 - Hopefully your Lord will grant you mercy; but if you return, We will return. And We have made hell for the unbelievers a prison bed. 17.9 - Indeed, this Quran guides to that which is best and gives good tidings to the believers who do good deeds that for them will be an enormous reward. 17.10 - And as for those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have prepared for them a painful torture.
