Al-Bayyinah (The Clear Proof)
Translation
Verses 1-8
لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنْفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ (1)
Those who have disbelieved from among the people of the book and the polytheists were not separated (from disbelief) until there come to them the clear proof.
[Al Quran ; 98:1]
رَسُولٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ يَتْلُو صُحُفًا مُطَهَّرَةً (2)
A messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures.
[Al Quran ; 98:2]
فِيهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ (3)
In which are valuable books.
[Al Quran ; 98:3]
وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ (4)
And those who were given the book did not become divided except after there had come to them the clear evidence.
[Al Quran ; 98:4]
وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاءَ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ (5)
And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, being sincere to Him in religion, upright, and they establish prayer and pay Zakah (Alms). And that is the valuable religion.
[Al Quran ; 98:5]
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ (6)
Indeed, those who have disbelieved from among the followers of the book and the polytheists will be in the fire of hell, abiding therein; those are the worst of creatures.
[Al Quran ; 98:6]
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ (7)
Indeed, those who have believed and done good deeds; those are the best of creatures.
[Al Quran ; 98:7]
جَزَاؤُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۖ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ رَبَّهُ (8)
Their reward with their Lord is gardens of Eden beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein forever; Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. That is for one who fears his Lord.
