Al-Asr (The Afternoon)
Translation
Verses 1-3
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
وَالْعَصْرِ (1)
By the afternoon.
[Al Quran ; 103:1]
إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ (2)
Indeed, the human is in loss.
[Al Quran ; 103:2]
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ (3)
Except those who have believed and done good deeds and spur each other with truth and spur each other with patience.
