Al-Maaun (The Assistance)
Translation
Verses 1-7
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ (1)
Have you seen the one who denies the recompense?
[Al Quran ; 107:1]
فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ (2)
And that is the one who drives away the orphan.
[Al Quran ; 107:2]
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ (3)
And does not encourage the feeding of the needy.
[Al Quran ; 107:3]
فَوَيْلٌ لِلْمُصَلِّينَ (4)
So woe to those who pray.
[Al Quran ; 107:4]
الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ (5)
Those who are, of their prayers, unmindful.
[Al Quran ; 107:5]
الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ (6)
Those who show off (their deeds).
[Al Quran ; 107:6]
وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ (7)
And withhold assistance.
[Al Quran ; 107:7]
