Translation

Verses 1-28

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

Say: It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn heard and said: Indeed, we have heard a wonderful Quran.
[Al Quran ; 72:1]

It guides to the right course, so we have believed in it; and we will not associate with our Lord anyone.
[Al Quran ; 72:2]

And indeed, exalted is the majesty of our Lord; He has not taken a wife nor a child.
[Al Quran ; 72:3]

And indeed, our foolish one used to say about Allah excessive lies.
[Al Quran ; 72:4]

And indeed, we thought that mankind and the jinn would never say about Allah (any) lie.
[Al Quran ; 72:5]

And indeed, (some) men from among mankind used to seek refuge in (some) men from among the jinn, so they (only) increased them in burden.
[Al Quran ; 72:6]

And indeed, they had thought, as you thought, that Allah will not send anyone (as a messenger).
[Al Quran ; 72:7]

And indeed, we touched the sky but we found it filled with strong guards and meteors.
[Al Quran ; 72:8]

And indeed, we used to sit therein in positions for listening, but whoever listens now will find for him a waiting meteor.
[Al Quran ; 72:9]

And indeed, we do not know whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord wants for them a right course.
[Al Quran ; 72:10]

And indeed, among us are the righteous, and among us are other than that, we were followers of different ways.
[Al Quran ; 72:11]

And indeed, we had thought that we cannot cause failure to Allah in the earth, nor can we cause failure to Him through escaping.
[Al Quran ; 72:12]

And indeed, when we heard the guidance, we believed in it; and whoever believes in his Lord, he should fear neither loss nor burden.
[Al Quran ; 72:13]

And indeed, among us are submitters, and among us are the unjust; so (as for) whoever submits, then it is them who sought out the right course.
[Al Quran ; 72:14]

And as for the unjust, they will be, for hell, firewood.
[Al Quran ; 72:15]

And had they remained straight on the (right) way, We would surely made them drink abundant water.
[Al Quran ; 72:16]

So that We might try them therein; and whoever turns away from the reminder of his Lord, He will make him walk into a strenuous torture.
[Al Quran ; 72:17]

And indeed, the mosques are for Allah, so do not call with Allah anyone.
[Al Quran ; 72:18]

And indeed, when the servant of Allah stood up supplicating Him, they almost became around him a crowded mass.
[Al Quran ; 72:19]

Say: I only supplicate my Lord and do not associate with Him anyone.
[Al Quran ; 72:20]

Say: I do not possess for you harm or good.
[Al Quran ; 72:21]

Say: Indeed, I will not be protected from Allah by anyone, nor I will find other than Him a recourse.
[Al Quran ; 72:22]

(It is) only a notification from Allah and His messages; and whoever disobeys Allah and His messenger, then indeed, for him is the fire of hell, abiding therein forever.
[Al Quran ; 72:23]

Until when they see that which they are promised, then they are going to know who is weaker in helpers and less in number.
[Al Quran ; 72:24]

Say: I do not know if what you are promised is near or if my Lord will make for it a long period.
[Al Quran ; 72:25]

The Knower of the unseen, and He does not reveal His (knowledge of the) unseen to anyone.
[Al Quran ; 72:26]

Except whom He has approved of any messenger; for indeed, He sends before him and behind him observers.
[Al Quran ; 72:27]

So He makes evident that they have delivered the messages of their Lord, and He has encompassed what is with them and has enumerated everything in numbers.
[Al Quran ; 72:28]
