20.81 - Eat from the good things from which We have provided you and do not transgress therein, lest My anger will come upon you. And he upon whom My anger comes has certainly fallen. 20.82 - And indeed, I am Forgiver of whoever has repented and believed and done good deed and is guided. 20.83 - And what made you hasten from your people, O Musa? 20.84 - He said: They are close upon my track, and I hastened to You, my Lord, that You might be pleased. 20.85 - He (Allah) said: Indeed, We have certainly tried your people after you, and the Samiray has misguided them. 20.86 - So Musa returned to his people angry and grieved. He said: O my people! Did your Lord not promise you a good promise? Then, was the covenant far (in time) to you, or did you want that there should come to you an anger from your Lord, so you broke my promise? 20.87 - They said: We did not break your promise by our will, but we were made to bear burdens from the ornaments of the people (of Firon), so we cast them (in fire), and thus did the Samirai throw. 20.88 - So he (Samirai) extracted for them a body of calf which had a lowing sound, and they said: This is your god and the god of Musa, but he forgot. 20.89 - Did they not see that it could not return to them any saying and that it could not possess for them any harm or benefit? 20.90 - And Harun has certainly said to them before: O my people! You are only being tried by it, and indeed, your Lord is the Compassionate, so follow me and obey my command.
