3.71 - O people of the book! Why do you confuse the truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know? 3.72 - And a party of the people of the book said: Believe in that which has been sent down to those who believe at the beginning of the day and disbelieve at the end of it that perhaps they will return. 3.73 - And do not believe except to those who follow your religion. Say: Indeed, the guidance is the guidance of Allah. Lest someone be given like what you were given; or they would argue with you before your Lord. Say: Indeed, the grace is in the hand of Allah, He gives it to whom He wills; and Allah is Vast, Knowing. 3.74 - He chooses for His mercy whom He wills; and Allah is the Possessor of mighty grace. 3.75 - And among the people of the book is one who, if you entrust him with a Dinar, he will pay it back to you; and among them is one who, if you entrust him with a Dinar, he will not pay it back to you except when you are consistently standing over him. That is because they said: There is no way for the illiterates upon us; and they say about Allah lies while they know. 3.76 - Yes, whoever fulfils his covenant and fear, then indeed, Allah loves the pious. 3.77 - Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their oaths for a small price, they will have no share in the hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them or look at them on the day of resurrection. And He will not purify them, and for them is a painful torture. 3.78 - And indeed, among them is a team who alter the book with their tongues so you may think of it is from the book, but it is not from the book. And they say: This is from Allah, but it is not from Allah. And they say about Allah lies while they know. 3.79 - It is not for a human that Allah should give him the book and wisdom and prophethood, then he says to the people: Be servants to me rather than Allah; but: Be scholars of the Lord because of what you have taught of the book and because of what you have studied. 3.80 - Nor could he command you to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he command you to disbelieve after you became submitters?
