38.31 - When there were exhibited before him in the evening the poised racehorses. 38.32 - So he said: Indeed, I liked the love of good things over the remembrance of my Lord until it (the sun) disappeared into hiding. 38.33 - (Solaiman said:) Return them to me. And he began rubbing (their) legs and necks. 38.34 - And We certainly tried Solaiman and placed (him) on his chair a body, so he turned (to Allah). 38.35 - He said: My Lord! Forgive me and give me a kingdom which would not belong to anyone after me; indeed, You are the Giver. 38.36 - So We subjected to him the wind running by his command, gently, wherever he pointed. 38.37 - And the devils, every building and diving. 38.38 - And others bound in shackles. 38.39 - This is Our giving, so grant or withhold without measure. 38.40 - And indeed, for him will be nearness to Us and an excellent return.
