5.41 - O Messenger! Let not them grieve you who hasten into disbelief from among those who say, we have believed, with their mouths, but their hearts did not believe, and from among the Jews are those who are listeners of lies, listeners to another people who have not come to you. They distort the words from their places, they say: If you are given this, then take it; and if you are not given it, then be cautious. And whom Allah wants his trial, never will you possess for him against Allah a thing; those are the ones whose hearts Allah does not want to purify, for them in this world is a disgrace, and for them in the hereafter will be a great torture.
5.42 - Listeners to lies, devourers of the unlawful, so if they come to you, then judge between them or turn away from them. And if you turn away from them, then they will not harm you in anything; and if you judge, then judge between them with justice. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.
5.43 - And how do they make you judge and they have the Taurat, in it is the judgement of Allah? Moreover they turn back after that. And those are not believers.
5.44 - Indeed, We have sent down the Taurat in which there are guidance and light; the prophets who submitted judge thereby for those who are Jews, likewise are the Rabbis and the scholars, because of that which they were entrusted of the book of Allah, and they are over it witnesses. So do not fear the people and fear Me, and do not exchange My signs for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has sent down, then those are the ones who are unbelievers.
5.45 - And We decreed upon them therein that a soul is for a soul, and an eye for an eye, and a nose for a nose, and an ear for an ear, and a tooth for a tooth, and wounds are retribution. And whoever give it up as charity, then it will be an expiation for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has sent down, then those are the ones who are unjust.
5.46 - And We caused to follow after them in their footsteps Isa son of Mariam, verifying what was before him of the Taurat, and We gave him the Injeel in which there are guidance and light, and verifying what was before it of the Taurat, and a guidance and an admonition for the pious.
5.47 - And the people of the Injeel should judge by what Allah has sent down therein. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has sent down, then those are the ones who are disobedient.
5.48 - And We have sent down to you the book (the Quran) in truth, verifying what is before it of the book and a ruler over it; so judge between them by what Allah has sent down, and do not follow their desires in exchange for what has come to you of the truth. For each of you, We made a law and a way; and had Allah willed, He would have made you a single nation, but to test you in what He has given you, so race to the good. To Allah is your return all together, and He will inform you concerning that in which you used to disagree.
5.49 - And judge between them by what Allah has sent down, and do not follow their desires, and be cautious of them, lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has sent down to you. And if they turn away, then know that Allah wants to strike them by some of their sins. And indeed, most of the people are disobedient.
5.50 - Is it the judgment of ignorance that they desire? And who is better than Allah in judgement for a people who are certain.
