5.51 - O you who have believed! Do not take the Jews and the Christians as guardians; they are guardians of each other; and whoever takes them as a guardian from among you, then indeed, he is one of them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the unjust people. 5.52 - And you will see those in whose hearts is a disease hastening towards them, they say: We fear that calamity strikes us. But perhaps Allah will bring victory or a decision from Him, and they will become over what they have concealed within themselves regretful. 5.53 - And those who have believed say: Are those who have sworn by Allah with the most forcible of their oaths that indeed they were with you? Their deeds have become nullified, and they have become losers. 5.54 - O you who have believed! Whoever from among you reverts from his religion, then Allah will bring a people whom He will love, and they will love Him, humble towards the believers, mighty against the unbelievers, they strive hard in the way of Allah and they fear not the blame of any blamer. That is the grace of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is Vast, Knowing. 5.55 - Your guardian is only Allah and His messenger and those who have believed, who establish prayer and pay Zakah (alms), and they bow down. 5.56 - And whoever is a guardian to Allah and His messenger and those who have believed, then indeed, the party of Allah will be victorious one. 5.57 - O you who have believed! Do not take those who have taken your religion in ridicule and amusement as guardians from among those who were given the book before you nor the unbelievers. And fear Allah if you are believers. 5.58 - And when you call to prayer, they take it in ridicule and amusement; that is because they are a people who do not understand. 5.59 - Say: O people of the book! Do you resent us except that we have believed in Allah and in what has been sent down to us and in what has been sent down before while most of you are disobedient? 5.60 - Say: Will I inform you of what is worse than that as retribution from Allah? Those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and whom He made apes and pigs, and the worshippers of the devil. Those are worse in place and further astray from the straight way.
