5.61 - And when they come to you, they say: We believe. But they have entered into unbelief and they came out with it. And Allah is most knowing of what they used to conceal. 5.62 - And you see many of them rushing to sin and aggression and their devouring of unlawful. Miserable is what they used to do. 5.63 - Why do not the rabbis and the scholars prohibit them from their saying of sin and their devouring of unlawful? Miserable is what they used to fabricate. 5.64 - And the Jews said: The hand of Allah is chained! Chained are their hands and they were cursed for what they have said. Rather both His hands are spread out; He spends however He wills and He will surely increase many of them. That which has been sent down to you from your Lord is neither inordinacy nor unbelief. And We have thrown among them animosity and hatred until the day of resurrection. Whenever they light a fire for war, Allah extinguishes it, and they strive to make mischief in the land. And Allah does not love the mischief makers. 5.65 - And if the people of the book had believed and feared, We would have remitted their sins and admitted them into gardens of pleasure. 5.66 - And if they had upheld the Taurat and the Injeel and that which was sent down to them from their Lord, they would have eaten from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them are moderate community; and for many of them, evil is what they do. 5.67 - O messenger! Announce what bas been sent down to you from your Lord; and if you do not, then you have not announced His message. And Allah will protect you from the people; indeed, Allah does not guide the unbelieving people. 5.68 - Say: O people of the book! You are not upon any thing until you uphold the Taurat and the Injeel and that which was sent down to you from your Lord. And He will surely increase a lot of them. What has been sent down to you from your Lord is neither inordinacy nor unbelief; so despair not for the unbelieving people. 5.69 - Indeed, those who have believed and those who are Jews and the Sabians and the Christians, those who believed in Allah and the last day and did good deed, then no fear will be upon them nor will they grieve. 5.70 - We had certainly taken a covenant from the sons of Israel and had sent to them messengers; whenever there came to them a messenger with what their souls did not desire, a team (of the messengers) were denied, and a team (of them) they killed.
